Dirk Sweringen
I was born in Washington State, USA, but lived for most of my life in England. I returned for the first time as an adult to WA in 1981, and finally in 1996 made my home here. My photographs are a reflection of a personal narrative, about being here, implicated and involved. Most are made close to home and in places familiar and significant. I use analogue processes - film and a traditional wet darkroom. I am a printmaker and my work can best be seen as silver gelatin prints. Prints are available as limited edition silver prints.
